Photohunters: In Memory

This week's photohunt theme is In Memory. This is in memory of Mom's brother who passed away 10 months ago. He was 39 years old and had a very rare skin cancer called merkel cell carcinoma. His name is Donnie.

Donnie is Mom's oldest brother and helped teach her how to walk when she was a baby. He sent her funny monies for her to show to her class from places like Egypt and Saudi Arabia when he was stationed overseas during the Gulf War. He even took her on her very first (and only) trip to a zoo! Mom says he made the best ham and cheese omelets ever.

He gave us delicious kitty treats and petted us when he came to visit. Mom misses him a lot. We do, too. This is the tree his ashes were scattered under at Fort Bragg cemetery.

Photohunt: Warm

Today's theme is Warm!

This is one of my favorite spots to get warm. We have lots of these kitty warmer uppers in the house and I like them all. I sit on them like this.

Do you have these in your house too? They are heaven. I can sit on them all day long and even take naps on them when I am cold, which is a lot in the winter.

I hope all of you are snuggly and warm today. Or if it's hot where you live, I hope you find a nice cool breeze. Happy Saturday!

P.S. Mom says I have to say she doesn't know why the carpet looks dirty there because it is really not. And also, she is sorry she left the vacuum plugged in when she took the pics. She is not very professional.

Photohunt: Bridge

This week's theme is Bridge!

We have not actually been to any bridges but here is a picture of the Natural Bridge here in Virginia, which our Mom and Dad visited last year.

Isn't it cool? The bridge is at the tippy top...that strip of land that you could walk across if it was allowed. Maybe it is allowed sometimes but Mom and Dad did not get to walk across it. George Washington himself surveyed the land there!

Here is a pic of Dad before he and Mom went under the Natural Bridge. Sorry, there is no pic of Mom from that trip. She needs to let Dad run the camera more but says his picture taking is No Good. I think that means she must have looked bad in the photos and deleted them.

Photohunt: Furry

This week's theme is Furry. We are all furry but I (Teal'c) am the furriest of all. Let me show you a close up of my furs.

And here is a not so close up but you can still see my furriness. I would not let Mom brush me today because I was so not in the mood. Usually my furs look very nice when they are tidy.

Photohunt: Hat

It is  time again with Rosie. This week's theme is hat. I do not have a hat of my very own because I am pretty sure I would not like it. But my Daddy has lots of hats. He has hunting hats, baseball caps, cowboy hats, even! But this is one of his favorite hats because he is a huge WVU fan. Mommy's bestest friend in the whole world graduated from there, too, so she likes it as well. I think I am smart enough to go there. But they don't accept cats. Too bad. Here is my picture with his favorite hat.

Photohunt: Aftermath

It's time for Photohunt with Rosie! Today's theme for is aftermath.  My Mommy took this picture first when I was looking mad.

Then she did some speshul e-fects and said I would look like this in the aftermaths if I don't stop sitting on the microwave.  I think she was joking but take a look:

Drumroll please....I is RADIOACTIVE ROSIE!!!! I glows in the dark! Or I would anyway.  That would take away some of my stealths powers though, so I will stay away from the microwave from now on.

Photohunters: Hope

I've decided to join the and this week's theme is hope. A message from Rosie about the pic:

This was when Teal'c and I were mortal enemies. He was very scared of me and my vicious clawz. Now he knows I'm really a nice girl. This picture represents hope because our Mommie spent a lot of time hoping that we would learn to get along with each other. Mommie got her wish.
