Rosie Gives Apache Posing Advice

Hi Furiends!

Rosie and I have been having fun letting Mom take pictures of us. Here's how it turned out!

Mom: Look pretty, Apache!

Rosie: No offense, Apache, but you look like an awkward school kid.

Apache: Should I show my teeth?

Rosie: *Gives the stink eye*

Apache: OK, Rosie, what do you suggest?

Rosie: Just look natural and be yourself. No, wait. Try to look like a CALM version of yourself.

Apache: Like this?

Rosie: Now you've got it! But for extra bonus points (aka extra treats) you need to make irresistible eyes at Mom like this.

Apache: Got it. Let me try.

Rosie: Nice touch - upside down irresistible eyes. There may be hope for you yet, Apache!

Apache Asks Advice

Hi everybuddy!

It's me, Apache. I know what you may be thinking -- this is a cat blog! Why is this dog here? Well, I wanted to ask some advice from you feline types. My question is...

Why won't Rosie, Kaleb, and Teal'c play with me?

I'm a nice girl.

I have big ears for listening.

Big teeth for chomping smiling.

And come on, look at me. I'm fabulous. But they never want to play. I try to chase them, but they  run. I bark at them (how else am I supposed to talk?) and I'm met with hisses every time. They even swat me when I walk by. How can I make myself more approachable?

Sincerely,
Apache

P.S. Please overlook all the stuffs in the background. The human baby had a birthday recently and all the toys still haven't been unpacked. The upside to the human baby is that I steal his toys sometimes and make them my own.

Change (aka A Cat's Worst Nightmare)

Wow! Has it really been MORE THAN TWO YEARS since we've done a post? That's crazy. And totally Mom's fault, because you know the servants are supposed to do the typing.

There's so much that's new around here. Some we like and some we don't. As you saw in one of our previous posts before the two year hiatus, we have a D.O.G. That's right...a dog. Her name is Apache and she is a MONSTER OF EPIC PROPORTIONS! The humans like her, though, so that's all we'll say about that.

There's also another baby. A human one. He's ok. We liked him better when he slept most of the time, but now he crawls around on all fours PRETENDING TO BE ONE OF US, but he's not. We usually stay far away from him, too. It's not that we don't like him, but we're not sure he can be trusted. He seems to like the dog too much.

Here's a picture of the new (1 year old) baby:

What do you think, Furiends? Trust him or not?

More Apache

Mom is EXHAUSTED from having a new puppy in the house but thankfully she is still making time to snuggle with all of us every day. She will post some pictures of us over the weekend, but for now, here is a picture of APACHE THE TERRIBLE! Mom says she is part German Shepherd and part Hound, but we think she is part piranha. We have given her a few good whacks when she gets too annoying, but she usually lets us alone. Guess we can live with that!

You Won't Believe It!

Well brothers and sisters, it has been a long time once more. Again, lots of things have been happening. Mommy is still working WAY too much for our liking. In December, her mom (our grandmom) passed away and Mom was very sad for a long time. She is doing better, though.

But...

But...

You will not believe what she has done to us. One day, we were put in the bedroom for a while and thought Mom and Dad must have been working on another project as usual (they put us up sometimes because they don't think us snooping around power tools is always safe). But, no. We emerged from the bedroom and saw this VICIOUS ANIMAL in our very own house!

What do you mean she doesn't look vicious?

Well, ok, maybe she isn't, but she sure is annoying when she hops at us, wagging her tail. Mom says she just wants to play, but we just aren't sure about her yet. Oh, her name is Apache. Mom adopted her from a local shelter (that picture above was taken of her at the shelter). It's nice that she has a home now and all, but she'd better realize that we rule the roost around here.
