Where are the Country Cats?

Sick.
We are sick.
We do not feel good at all.
Mommy is trying to keep the boys (who are sick) separate from Rosie who is now almost better.

Here are the boys looking sad and sick. :-(

We are sorry we have not been around, furiends. Between Mom working, Dad working, and them chasing down 3 kitties to give medicines too, we are a bit pressed for time. Please leave a comment and let us know how you are all doing though and we will try to visit as many of you as we can.

Purrs and nosetaps,

Not Happening

Mom's niece left a necklace that Mommy let me play with for a few minutes. This was a lot of fun. First I inspected it and then I whapped it around. Mom tried to take pics of the whapping but they all turned out too blurry.

Then, she tried to trick me into putting it on.

Not happening, Mommy. Not at all. (P.S. You can see the scar from my ulcer a lot here. My eyes are better now but I've always had this. Mom usually edits it out, though.)

P.S. We have a mousie game to play tomorrow...we were passed a mousie by the Cat Street Boyz! Stay tuned!

Easy Like Sunday with Rosie

Here I am napping in my tight little curled up ball position. This is optimal for keeping warm. Note how I am in the office chair. Mom wanted to use the desktop to print something but I was in the chair so she let me sleep. Oh the power that comes with being a feline.

Also...I think this photo says that I'm quite a dish. Right? Right? Hahaha.

Just being silly. I hope you have an easy, snuggly Sunday.

P.S. As an update, I am feeling a little bit better. I am giving Mommy a hard time about my medicines though. I have given her a few scratches. Got my pretty furs covered in medicines a few times when I jerk my head away suddenly. Gave both Mommy and Daddy my hard look. Medicines are just No Fun.

P.P.S. Teal'c is on this week's High Five Sunday at Zoolatry. Go take a look to see the other kitties, too!

Photohunt: Warm

Today's theme is Warm!

This is one of my favorite spots to get warm. We have lots of these kitty warmer uppers in the house and I like them all. I sit on them like this.

Do you have these in your house too? They are heaven. I can sit on them all day long and even take naps on them when I am cold, which is a lot in the winter.

I hope all of you are snuggly and warm today. Or if it's hot where you live, I hope you find a nice cool breeze. Happy Saturday!

P.S. Mom says I have to say she doesn't know why the carpet looks dirty there because it is really not. And also, she is sorry she left the vacuum plugged in when she took the pics. She is not very professional.

Fifth Picture Meme & Award

We were tagged by Karen to do this fun picture Meme! Here are the rules:

Open a document or file folder,
click on the fifth folder
and then the fifth photo.
Post the photo and describe it.
Then tag 5 other bloggers.

This is technically not the 5th picture because it was too blurry; Mom is trying to work on a steady head at the lower ISO settings on her camera. Unsuccessfully. Anyway, this was the 4th picture. It might look a bit scary. Mom doesn't like ants and she says she gagged a little while taking photos of it. Rosie found it on the sofa in the den a few days ago. You can even see it's ugly pincers.

We tag
1. Siena & Chilli
2. Cliff & Olivia
3. The Cat Street Boyz
4. Tristan & Crikey
5. Hansel

Anyone else can play along too!

Also, we got this lovely award (ages ago and Mom forgot to post about it) from Peffe and Lussie, Shadow/Molly and Milo & Alfie

Thanks for the award guys and gals! It is the Love Ya award. We don't remember the rules but we love all our furiends so we want to pass it on to everyone!

And just so you don't go a day without seeing one of us, here's a picture of Rosie sleeping.

Kitty Kitty Bang Bang

Finny at Housecat Confidential is having a fun contest of sorts - the ACATemy Awards! You can enter screenplays, movies, movie reviews, posters, etc. to celebrate Cats in Film.

Here is our entry (a western because that's what our Daddy likes). And we know chitty chitty bang bang wasn't a western; we just thought it was catchy.

P.S. You can click it to biggify!

Toehawk Toesday with Teal'c

Cosmo at The World According To Misha is running a contest for us floofies so we can show off our Toehawks! I just had to show off mine because I have some pretty awesome toehawks (if I do say so myself). Let me show you.

and here's one of my handsome mug.

Have a great Toesday!

P.S. Mom said I had to share the spotlight with Rosie today.
Rosie was one of the Grand Prize Winners in Skeezix's 2009 Valentine's Day Contest (along with the Handsum Harley and the lovely Siena)!

Thanks to Skeezix for the awesome contest. We have a question, though, are we supposed to email him? Cuz we don't know his email. Maybe some of you kitties can answer for us> :)

Mancat Monday: I Feel Like I'm Being Watched

Why do I sometimes feel like I'm being watched?

Who's there?

Mom! *Sigh* Get that thing out of my face and let me sleep.

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Today is our Mommy's 27th birthday. We are pretty sure that is very old.

Here are some funny things about Mom.
1. She almost always had a cat growing up. Except when she lived with her parents, they were Not Allowed inside.
2. Her very first kitty was a ginger named Sycamore for the tree in their yard he liked to climb.
3. Her favoritest gift EVER was a bouquet of ink pens from our Dad. She is a WEIRD lady sometimes!
4. Her favorite color is pink. She even has a pink laptop!
5. She is a science geek. Sorry, Mommy, but it's true.
6. She can play the clarinet. We do not like this about her. It is not a nice noise.
7. She is a good Mommy.

Happy Birthday, MOM!

Happy Valentine's Day to All Our Friends

We just wanted to wish all our friends a very Happy Valentine's Day. We hope you get lots of treats, scritches, belly rubs, and snuggles.

P.S. If you haven't visited Skeezix's Valentine Contest to vote for your favorites, go on over and make some comments. You can see Rosie's Valentine to Harley HERE.

P.P.S. We also want to wish our friend Crikey a furry Happy Birthday!

Kaleb Tries Fashionable Boa

Mom tried to get Rosie to wear some fashions but Rosie would have none of it. She bought a tiara and a pink boa and I think Rosie was scairt of it. I was not scairt of it. But I told Mommy no way could she post a picture of me with a pink boa. So she changed it to another color. Some dudes look good in pink. Like Skeezix. I did not. It did not go with my furs.

That was the last picture she got before I KILLED it. I've heard those boas are dangerous.

Rosie's Vet Visit

Hi everybuddy,

I am happy to report that all it will take is a shot and some medicines to make me good as new again. I have an eye ulcer that is scarred over. I had it before my Mommy even got me. But sometimes my eyes bother me and I get the sickies.

Do you see the ulcer?

So yesterday I went to the vet to get some medicines and to make sure it was not anything real serious. Here I am in my carrier (sorry for pic quality Mom took it on her blackberry). Mom put my blankie in with me so I wouldn't be as nervous. It is soft and fluffy and good to cuddle with.

And I did SOOOO good! I am usually very scairt at the vet. This time I did not cry or meow, not even once...not even when this big woofie came up to sniff my carrier!

When I came back home, I did not even hide like I usually do. I just ate some foods and took a nap. And when I finished my nap, I looked at Skeezix's Valentine Contest blog and saw this Valentine that the handsome Harley made for me and Siena! That made me feel warm and fuzzy inside.  Doesn't he look handsome in his Spacepod of Love? I'm one of the astronauts. I always wanted to be an astronaut.

After such a big day yesterday, I think I need to rest today. Thanks for all the purrs, friends!

Our Cousin Garfield

Today we will show you our cousin, Garfield. He lives with our Daddy's sister. We have not actually met him but we know his smell when Mommy and Daddy come home after having held him. We have seen his pictures, too, and we think he is a very handsome cat! Here he is (sorry the pics are fuzzy; Mom took them in the dark!).

He is a very patient kitty because there are three kids that play with him every day! Mom says he is the friendliest, gentlest cat she has ever known (besides us, of course). Plus, it is very cool that his eyes match his fur exactly (you may have to biggify to see).

Kaleb says: On another note, Rosie has to go to the V-E-T today because she has sickies in one eye and to check on the other that gets ulcers sometimes. I do not mean this in a mean way, but my sister is a big Scairty Cat and she is easily traumatized when she gets upset. She sometimes hides for days after going to the V-E-T. So say a little purr for her that all it will take is some medicines to make her all better.

Have a happy Wednesday!

Birthday Wishes & the Ball

Firstly we want to wish our friend (and everyone's friend) Daisy a Happy Birthday. She is 5 years old and is the most fashionable kitty we know!

And since Rosie refused to wear any clothing fashions, even for the Inaugural Ball, she has decided on wearing a simple flower and multicolored pearls. She hopes she is dressed ok. We mancats (Kaleb & Teal'c) are going Au Naturale.

Mancat Monday: Teal'c & Mom's Nephew

Mom's brother came for a visit on Saturday. He has a little boy who is particularly rambunctious. He first spotted me as soon as he came through the door and his eyes were wide with amazement. I do not blame him, because I am pretty amazing. Soon enough, however, I found myself up on the kitchen counter trying to get some peace and quiet from the Little One.

This did not bring relief, though, because the Little One followed.

I tried to ignore his attempts at running me over with his toy. But when I did, he made this face and I would give in to him and move closer.

He also found it hilarious to blow on my floofy tail, like he does with dandelion seeds.

Even though I didn't play with him nearly as much as he wanted me to, he still left happy and smiling.

I have to get some rest today after being so active over the weekend. Little Ones are exhausting! Happy Monday!

-Teal'c

P.S. We did not know that everyone was invited to the Inaugural Ball! We have some work to do deciding on what to wear!

Photohunt: Bridge

This week's theme is Bridge!

We have not actually been to any bridges but here is a picture of the Natural Bridge here in Virginia, which our Mom and Dad visited last year.

Isn't it cool? The bridge is at the tippy top...that strip of land that you could walk across if it was allowed. Maybe it is allowed sometimes but Mom and Dad did not get to walk across it. George Washington himself surveyed the land there!

Here is a pic of Dad before he and Mom went under the Natural Bridge. Sorry, there is no pic of Mom from that trip. She needs to let Dad run the camera more but says his picture taking is No Good. I think that means she must have looked bad in the photos and deleted them.

I Did a Bad Thing

I did a bad thing yesterday. I was only playing but I played a little bit too hard.

My Mommy was rubbing my belly and giving me some scritches. Then I caught her hand with my claws. And this is what I did (and what she said).

Sorry, Mommy. I will try not to play so rough next time. I'll give you some snuggles to make it all better.

Helping Mom

Mom is trying to get things organized and she is moving all the fall and winter stuff back down to the basement now. While she was sorting it all into the new containers, I decided to help. By looking pretty with the decorations.

Helping is fun!
