Rosie and I have been having fun letting Mom take pictures of us. Here's how it turned out!

Mom: Look pretty, Apache!

Rosie: No offense, Apache, but you look like an awkward school kid.

Apache: Should I show my teeth?

Rosie: *Gives the stink eye*

Apache: OK, Rosie, what do you suggest?

Rosie: Just look natural and be yourself. No, wait. Try to look like a CALM version of yourself.

Apache: Like this?

Rosie: Now you've got it! But for extra bonus points (aka extra treats) you need to make irresistible eyes at Mom like this.

Apache: Got it. Let me try.

Rosie: Nice touch - upside down irresistible eyes. There may be hope for you yet, Apache!

Change (aka A Cat's Worst Nightmare)

Wow! Has it really been MORE THAN TWO YEARS since we've done a post? That's crazy. And totally Mom's fault, because you know the servants are supposed to do the typing.

There's so much that's new around here. Some we like and some we don't. As you saw in one of our previous posts before the two year hiatus, we have a D.O.G. That's right...a dog. Her name is Apache and she is a MONSTER OF EPIC PROPORTIONS! The humans like her, though, so that's all we'll say about that.

There's also another baby. A human one. He's ok. We liked him better when he slept most of the time, but now he crawls around on all fours PRETENDING TO BE ONE OF US, but he's not. We usually stay far away from him, too. It's not that we don't like him, but we're not sure he can be trusted. He seems to like the dog too much.

Rosie's Gotcha Day

Did you know today was my Gotcha Day? I came to live with Mom and Dad several years ago (I won't say how many because I don't want to reveal my age!). I'm very glad Mom and Dad rescued me and brought me home. Hope everyone has a great Sunday. There's a new bag of Temptations calling my name!

Furiends,

We are so sorry we've been away for a long, long time. Mommy got another job and is now working loads and loads at 2 jobs (though she won't complain because lots of people have ZERO jobs). We will try to post now and then despite her busy schedule. Lots has happened! But for now, here are some quick pics. We are all ok aside from missing Mommy now that she does not work at home all the time. Hope you had lots of treats for Halloween!

Happy Mother's Day

We are a bit late getting our post up but wanted to say Happy Mother's Day to all the catmoms out there!

I have been with Mom for 6 whole years now! Here are 6 things I love about Mom:
1. She gives me Eskimo kisses.
2. She giggles about how wet my nose is when she gives me Eskimo kisses!
3. She gives waaaaay better cuddles than Dad. He just don't do it right.

3. She was very patient with me even when I was scairt of her.
4. Out of all the kitties at the shelter 4 years ago, she chose ME! So she has excellent tastes.

Teal'c says:
I have been with Mom for 3 years. Here are 3 of my favorite things about her:
1. She brushes my long furs.
2. She lets me go to every room with her all day long (I follow her everywhere!)
3. She tries her best to protect me from my vishus sister Rosie and her claws of doom.

Weekend is Here!

Have you missed me? Till Mom gets her schedule sorted out, we will only have sporadic posts. This makes me a little bit sad.


But then Mom gave me some temptations and now I feel a little bit better. Have a delicious weekend!

Slim and Trim

I am looking a bit slimmer these days, no? I admit, I was getting a little thick a couple of weeks ago. It seems this always happens in the spring and then a few weeks later I lose those pesky ounces. Does this happen with anyone else? I'm playing a lot more now, too, so maybe all that exercise has me looking slim and trim.

I have to be very quiet because everyone is asleep right now. I'll let you in on a little secret, too. I was doing my nightly pillaging and found our Easter gifts. There's some primo nip and Temptations waiting for us in the morning.

Mom will be back tonight to help us visit our bloggy friends - we didn't get to yesterday. Enjoy your Easter Sunday and eat lots of treats!

Bummer

I am a little bit bummed today.


Mom took away the cool rubberband ball. She said something about one of them snapping and breaking...and then something about me choking on it. Mom's kill all the fun.


The only thing that cheered me up was receiving this prestigious award from the Kitty City Gazette. Thanks so much! If you haven't already checked out their site, it has the BEST kitty gossip in town.

P.S. Why do I look so chunky in this pic? I think this is possibly my most unflattering picture ever. I am not really so "thick." I just have a bad photographer.

Rosie & Nip Toy

I finally got to play with the cool nip toy that Skeezix sent with my flirty collar. It was very cool; had little shamrocks on it! But it did not make it through my playing. I guess I am a little bit rough on my toys because all of them gets torn up. Here is a video of me before the toy got deaded.

Rosie Gets a Makeover

Hi everybuddy,

I decided to give myself a makeover to try to look more like Mommy. So I tried this brown wig...lipstick...and even contacts to make my eyes blue! I think I look a bit overdone, though, and that I look best without the wig and makeup. I must be what they call a natural beauty.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Thanks for stopping by my Gotcha Day Party yesterday, everybuddy! I had a blast and even got to dance with Toy and got a kiss on the cheek and a dancing underpants e-card from Harley!

Rosie's Gotcha Day!

Hi everybuddy,

Welcome to my ALL DAY Gotcha party!

Mommy & Daddy got me 4 years ago today (Mom was mistaken earlier thinking it was 5 but I straightened her out). Wow 4 years ago I was small and scared in that shelter till Mom came along and said she wanted me. I was scared but excited, too, that I found my Forever Home!

This is the earliest pic my mom can find but it was taken about 6 months after she got me.


I was about a year old then. So that means I'm over 5 now. Middle aged! I don't mind much, though.

To celebrate my Gotcha Day, my brudders gave me some presents.

Teal'c gave me a painting of himself. I think I might use this for dart practice. Haha. Just kidding. It is nice.



Kaleb gave me this card and a milk ring (the ring from a milk jug) to play with.


Here I am playing with the milk ring - one of the bestest presents ever!

Instead of many pressies, we made a donation to the shelter that I was adopted from - the Mercer County Humane Society. I did get a nice floofy feather toy, though, and I will get Mommy to post a picture of it later (since she forgot this time).

Feature Film Friday: Rosie Loves Strawberries

We know it is not quite Friday yet but we will be furry busy tomorrow so Mom had to post it now. We got a bunch of strawberries! I love them. No, no, I do not eat them. I just like to smell them! What kinds of funny things do you like to smell?

Edited to Add: Mom thought she should clarify. It is not that I like the box...it really is the strawberries! I never play with boxes, actually. But I got crazy for strawberries like I do for catnip! Strawberries make great toys. Sadly, they do not last for long and make carpet stains so I have to sneak them.

Oh and guess what...my Gotcha Day is Saturday! So don't forget to stop by!

Toy, who is also my sweetie, is having his 5th birthday today!
